Saint Giong festival in Phu Dong temple, Gia Lam district was initiated and organised by King Ly Cong Uan of the Ly dynasty; taking place from the 7th to 9th of the fourth lunar month every year.

This unique festival re-enacts Saint Giong’s army battling against the An invaders to protect the country.

At the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen acknowledged the efforts of Gia Lam district and Phu Dong commune in preserving and promoting the national cultural and historical values.

On this occasion, Gia Lam district opened the Gia Lam Tourism App and Portal to introduce tourism products of the district to domestic and foreign tourists.
