Quang Binh Honors Late Hanoi Musician with New Music Video

To promote tourism in Quang Binh province, singer Thi Phuong has released a new music video paying homage to the late Hanoi-born musician Hoang Van.

Singer Thi Phuong has recently unveiled the music video (MV) titled Quang Binh Que Ta Oi (Quang Binh, My Hometown) to commemorate the 420th anniversary of the establishment of the central province of Quang Binh (1604-2024). The purpose of this release is to showcase and showcase the beauty and charm of her homeland. The music video launch event took place in Hanoi, the birthplace of the composer Hoang Van, in order to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the song’s initial debut.

Hoang Van (1930-2018) was a highly acclaimed musician and composer who was awarded the prestigious Ho Chi Minh Prize in 2000. He had a remarkable career that included fighting in the historic battle of Dien Bien Phu and later being sent to China to pursue further studies in music.

Singer Thi Phuong is featured in her music video dedicated to Quang Binh Province.

Upon his return to Vietnam, he assumed the role of conductor for the orchestra of Radio Voice of Vietnam and took up a position as a lecturer at the prestigious Vietnam National Academy of Music until 1989. Throughout his career, he has garnered recognition for his remarkable compositions tailored for renowned singers, symphony orchestras, choirs, instrumental ensembles, as well as captivating scores for films and theatrical productions.

Quang Binh Que Ta Oi has been widely regarded as the unofficial anthem of Quang Binh Province. The opening verse of this song has become the signature tune of Quang Binh Voice Radio, playing every morning.

Thi Phuong is an exceptional music producer who skillfully guides her audience through a captivating journey in her homeland. With her unique talent, she manages to transport her listeners to the renowned historical sites of her country, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience.

Thi Phuong, originally from Quang Binh, had the incredible chance to explore numerous stunning landscapes and historical sites that she had never laid eyes on before. This was made possible while she was filming the mesmerizing MV within the province.

Thi Phuong, following the release of this MV, has future plans to collaborate with singer Viet Danh from the prestigious Military Music and Dance Theater to produce an album dedicated to her homeland. This album will feature three unique and captivating songs centered around the beautiful central province of Nghe An.

Doan Ngoc Lam, Deputy Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee, commends Thi Phuong for her commendable efforts in using music as a platform to promote their homeland.

In Thi Phuong’s latest music video, she skillfully captures the essence of a pivotal era in Quang Binh’s history, depicting the unwavering spirit of soldiers and local residents as they bravely defended their homeland and contributed to the growth and prosperity of Quang Binh as we know it today,” he commented.
