The acclaimed dancer Koo Young Back, who has choreographed K-pop idols such as EXO and SNSD, is set to astound audiences in the capital this weekend. His performance promises to be nothing short of thrilling!

According to the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, the K-pop Lovers Festival 2023 will take place from 9 am to 10 pm on May 13th at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in the pedestrian area of Hoan Kiem Lake. Attendees can look forward to a variety of activities such as live performances, immersive experiences, and giveaways. There will be something for everyone, from fans of K-pop to curious newcomers. Two of the young audience members’ favorite vocalists, Duc Phuc and Duong Hoang Yen, will be performing in the evening art program alongside Koo Young Back, a renowned dancer from South Korea’s 1Million Dance Studio.

K-pop Lovers Festival 2023 is an event that no K-pop fan should miss! Accompanied by the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam, visitors will have the opportunity to experience wearing traditional Korean costumes (Hanbok), playing traditional Korean folk games, and gaining an insight into the wonderful world of Korean tourism. With this unique experience, visitors will gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the culture and history of Korea.

At the end of the program, the most talented and remarkable group of Vietnamese students dancing to K-pop will have the chance to take part in the K-pop Cover Dance Festival World Final in South Korea.

Choi Seung Jin, the director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, recently spoke about Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square located in the capital of Hanoi. The area has become a favorite spot for young people to gather on the weekends and show off their dancing skills. As a result, the Korean Cultural Center has been organizing events in the square since 2019.

“This year marks the 10th edition of the K-pop Lovers Festival, and we plan to hold a festival full of exciting activities to celebrate not only K-pop fans but also a large number of people in the capital and international tourists. Choi Seung Jin, the organizer, said that attendees can directly experience and feel Korean culture at the event.”
