It’s easy to make a yummy sweet and sour tamarind crab dish at home. Follow this recipe for a closer insight.
Ingredients
1 fresh sea crab
100gr sour tamarind
1 onion
1 teaspoonful of flour or cornstarch
Lettuce, scallions, garlic
Sugar, salt, pepper, chili, fish sauce

How to make?
Prepare the crab
Turn the crab upside down. Use a sharp knife or scissors to pierce into the middle of the crab’s belly, so that the crab dies before removing its shell. Remove the crab lung, rinse.

The secret to make tamarind crab sauce
Boil the tamarinds, then take out the seeds.
Heat the pan with oil, the fry minced garlic and onions until they turn golden brown. Add tamarinds sauce in with the aromatic garlic and onions, then add sugar, chili, pepper to your liking and wait until the sauce simmers.

Fry the crab
Heat the pan with oil. Again, fry minced garlic and onions. Remember to add the crab into the pan only when the garlic and onions have turned golden brown. When the crab is 70 percent cooked, add shredded onions, stir well.

Put pinches of flour into the tamarind sauce, then pour the tamarind sauce on top of the crab. Turn the heat down, let the sauce well marinated into the crab.
Finally, sprinkle pepper and serve the food on a plate. The perfect sweet and sour tamarind crab, like it name suggests, must be sweet, sour and spicy.
