“Fostering Collaboration Among Singaporean and Hai Phong’s Small and Medium Enterprises.”

On May 17, the Vietnam-Singapore Friendship Association of Hai Phong City (VSFA Hai Phong) and Sing-Viet Impact Ventures (SVIV) joined hands in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony. This momentous occasion, held in Hai Phong city, marked a significant step forward in fostering a deeper connection between the two organizations and the nations they represent.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signifies a closer cooperation between the VSFA Hai Phong and the SVIV across multiple fields, including trade, education, tourism, and healthcare. Both organizations commit to working together to foster practical contributions that strengthen mutual trust and respect between the business communities of Vietnam and Singapore in the years to come.

“The MoU between VSFA Hai Phong and SVIV is a significant step forward, and we are thrilled to have found the right partner at the right time,” expressed Nguyen Duc Hung, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam-Singapore Friendship Association (VSFA). Hung is confident that this collaboration will actively promote the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership, particularly in investment, economic trade, and cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the two nations.

Tran Van Dang, President of VSFA Hai Phong, highlighted that the partnership will provide startups and SMEs with the necessary support to leverage the potential and strengths of both Singapore and Hai Phong City.

Lawrence Lim, President of SVIV, echoed similar sentiments, stating that SVIV and VSFA Hai Phong share a common vision of fostering mutually beneficial partnerships for their members, with a focus on fourth-generation (4G) SMEs. These enterprises are characterized by their small to medium scale, agility, and ability to adapt business models quickly with an outcome-driven approach.

Founded in 2021, Sing-Viet Impact Ventures (SVIV) is a non-profit organization based in Singapore. SVIV offers a range of services to its members, including business matching, government funding identification, socially responsible business model development, skills upskilling and transfer programs, and professional support services.
