The Power of Unity: Vietnam Friendship Organizations and World Peace Council Unite for a Noble Cause

On the 8th of May, in the vibrant city of Hanoi, a meaningful encounter took place between two esteemed individuals who are champions of peace and friendship. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, the esteemed Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, had the pleasure of welcoming Pallab Sengupta, the esteemed President of the World Peace Council, to his office.

During their meeting, Nguyen Ngoc Hung provided insights into Vietnam’s comprehensive and modern diplomatic approach, encompassing Party diplomacy, state diplomacy, and people-to-people exchanges. He expressed gratitude to the World Peace Council for its support during Vietnam’s struggle for national liberation and ongoing development efforts. Looking ahead, Vietnam aspires to continue receiving the Council’s support in achieving its development goals.

Pallab Sengupta shared his impressions of the 70th-anniversary celebrations of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, held on May 7 in Dien Bien. He commended the economic, social, and infrastructure advancements of Dien Bien and Vietnam as a whole.

Both parties agreed to maintain open lines of communication and continue their collaboration in future endeavors.

Earlier that day, Tran Dac Loi, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Peace Committee, held a meeting with Pallab Sengupta.

They discussed global affairs, including the competition among major countries and its impact on world peace. They also exchanged insights on the socio-economic landscapes of India and Vietnam, as well as the activities of their respective organizations. Given the dynamic global landscape, Pallab Sengupta expressed his desire to organize an Asian peace conference and network to foster greater collaboration among countries in promoting peace within the region and beyond.
