The show, titled “One Day of the Capital – A Thousand Years of History”, took place at the Van Cao T-junction in West Lake, Hanoi at 11.30pm on Lunar New Year’s Eve.
With the use of 2,024 drones, it is the largest drone performance in Southeast Asia.
The mesmerizing drone LED light show showcased various notable Hanoi landmarks, such as the Temple of Literature, Thang Long Bridge, Ngoc Son Temple, and Huc Bridge over Hoan Kiem Lake.
Thousands of locals and tourists gathered in the area from as early as 10pm, eagerly anticipating this unique performance.
Tran Anh Tuan, a resident of Van Cao Street, expressed his amazement at the crowd gathered on what is usually a quiet street. “We are thrilled to see everyone coming here to celebrate the New Year together,” he said.
Following the drone performance, the audience proceeded to Ngoc Khanh Lake to witness a breathtaking fireworks display.
