In his speech, Ambassador Ly Duc Trung gave an informative overview of Vietnam’s unique cuisine, highlighting the iconic dish of Phở and the key ingredients needed to make this popular dish that is well-loved by people across the globe.
To organize the event, he said the Vietnamese Embassy had invited chefs from the renowned Sofitel Metropole hotel in Hanoi to provide instructions to chefs at Attilio’s cooking school via videoconferencing. All of the necessary ingredients had been prepared by the Vietnamese embassy’s staff.
The diplomat expressed his hope that the event would provide participants with a deeper understanding of Phở, to help bridge the gap between the traditional Vietnamese dish and international friends and local people alike.
The introduction of Vietnamese Phở as part of celebrations for Israel’s Independence Day (April 26) and 30 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Israel (July 12) this year is a momentous occasion.
