The Vietnamese shuttlecock team emerged as the champion at the 2023 Asian & Asian Youth Shuttlecock Championships, with mainland China and Hong Kong taking second and third place, respectively.

Throughout the five-day competition, the Vietnamese team demonstrated exceptional skill, securing almost all categories and earning an additional gold and three silver medals on the final day of the tournament.

Out of a total of 14 medals, the team achieved six golds and one silver at the Asian Shuttlecock Championship, along with five more golds and two more silvers at the Asian Youth Shuttlecock Championship.

Surpassing their initial target of earning only four gold medals, the team’s outstanding performances have solidified their position as the number one team in Asia and the undisputed champions of all 10 world shuttlecock championships they have participated in so far.

Organized by the Asian Shuttlecock Federation, the championship brought together 260 athletes from eight teams representing mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Macau, Thailand, Mongolia, India, and Vietnam.

The competition consisted of categories such as Men’s Team, Women’s Team, Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, Men’s Single, Women’s Single, and Mixed Doubles.
