The highly anticipated AFC 37 Ho Tram Showdown MMA Tournament kicks off the 2025 Angel’s Fighting Championship (AFC) season on March 22nd at The Grand Ho Tram Strip resort in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, southern Vietnam.
This thrilling event, organized by Cocky Buffalo, a renowned martial arts training company, in collaboration with AFC, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, and The Grand Ho Tram Strip, will be exclusively broadcast on VTVcab for fight fans across the nation.
A total of seven intense matches will be featured, showcasing the skills of 14 elite fighters from around the globe. Representing their respective countries, these warriors will step into the ring, leaving everything on the line.
In the 65.8kg weight class, Vietnam’s own Quang Van Minh, known for his devastating Muay Thai techniques, will go head-to-head with South Korea’s Park Yeong Jun. Minh’s previous performance, a knockout of German fighter Mirko Maurice Horn at LION Championship 13, still resonates with fans.
Standing at 1.80m, the 23-year-old Park is a formidable opponent, specializing in standing punches that have earned him a reputation in the ring.
Le Van Tuan, another Vietnamese fighter, will represent his country in the 56.7kg weight class against China’s Mao Xiao Fu. With a record of four wins in five bouts, Mao Xiao Fu is a force to be reckoned with. However, Tuan’s dramatic performance at LION Championship, almost knocking out the undefeated Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, has the crowd eager to see more.
The main event of the night will feature a highly anticipated clash between South Korea’s Jung Da Un and Russia’s Ivan Parshikov in the 61.3kg weight class. Parshikov, a jiu-jitsu master, has already dominated Asia’s top MMA stage, ONE Championship, and now seeks to continue his reign.
In the only women’s match of the night, South Korea’s Kim So Yul and China’s Yang Qing Qing will face off in the 56kg weight class, showcasing the strength and skill of female fighters.
Adding to the excitement, Brazil’s Italo Freitas will take on China’s Wang Bingyin, while China’s Zhu Zahui will face Taiwan’s Yang Jihua. The action continues with South Korea’s Cho Kyung Yui going up against China’s Wang Haoxiang, ensuring a diverse and captivating fight card.
