Every year, the Vietnamese Society in Sheffield, UK hosts the annual and highly-anticipated Vietnamese Culture Day. This event provides an opportunity for students from all around the globe to discover and appreciate the beauty of Vietnamese culture.

With the theme of “Vietnam in my Heart”, the Vietnamese Society in Sheffield (Vietsoc Sheffield) seeks to take advantage of this chance to showcase the stunning culture and remember the cultural values that the country holds dear.

At this year’s Vietnamese Culture Day, guests were treated to a variety of student-led performances, from traditional dancing and singing to a captivating fashion show featuring the iconic “ao dai” outfits.

Additionally, you cannot fully immerse yourself in Vietnamese culture without being exposed to its national heritage and cuisine. To ensure that participants get the full experience, professional chefs were on hand to provide authentic food and drinks.

Many interesting activities were held during the event, connecting generations of students and creating an even stronger bond among students living in Vietnam. Additionally, these activities helped to showcase the country’s cultural beauty and richness.

In particular, this is a great opportunity to support students who have been and are about to come to Sheffield to live. They will be provided with the necessary conditions to learn and engage in meaningful activities.

Vietnamese Society in Sheffield provides essential support for Vietnamese people who live and study in the city. Throughout the year, they host a variety of social, academic, and cultural events, such as Meet & Greet, Welcoming Tour, Halloween, Christmas Party, Day trips to Peak District, Academic workshops, Lunar New Year (Tet holiday) party, and Vietnamese Culture Day. Their goal is to create a sense of home and connection among all the Vietnamese people in the UK.

In the UK, there are approximately 100,000 Vietnamese individuals living, studying, and working, with the majority residing in London.
