Mark your calendars for the much-anticipated Vietnam Culture and Tourism Festival in the Republic of Korea (RoK) from June 29 to July 3, as announced by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and reported by VNA.
This festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of cultural synergy and tourism promotion between our two nations. It will encompass a forum on strengthening tourism and cultural ties, a business networking event graced by Vietnam’s senior leaders, a showcase of Vietnam’s captivating destinations and cultural heritage, and a spectrum of artistic performances.

The VNAT underscores the festival’s potential to serve as a platform for localities and businesses to showcase their unique offerings, attractive policies, and destinations. It also presents a valuable opportunity for enterprises to forge business collaborations and further enhance Vietnam’s appeal to Korean tourists.
In 2023, Vietnam proudly welcomed 12.6 million foreign tourists, with 3.6 million of those being from Korea, solidifying the RoK’s position as the top source of international visitors to our country.
Conversely, approximately 420,000 Vietnamese travelers chose the East Asian nation as their preferred holiday destination, signifying the strong bilateral exchange between our countries.
Recent data from the Booking platform Yeogi Eottae of the RoK underscores the growing popularity of Vietnam among Korean travelers. There has been a notable surge in hotel bookings by Korean nationals in Vietnam for the peak summer season of 2024.
Specifically, hotel bookings by RoK visitors in the Philippines and Vietnam for the June-August period have increased by 3.1 and 3 times, respectively, compared to the same period in the previous year.
As per statistics from the Yeogi Eottae website, released on May 2, Vietnam and the Philippines were leading the charge in hotel bookings among Southeast Asian countries as of late April.
Adding to the excitement, the Korea Travel Festa 2024, organized by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) at K-Town, Ocean City in Hanoi, presented a kaleidoscope of captivating activities and cultural exchanges. Over 40 booths showcased the best of Vietnamese and Korean hospitality, offering visitors a memorable experience.
The Korea Tourism Night 2024, held on May 24 as a highlight of the festival, shone a spotlight on Korean tourism offerings and facilitated linkages between Vietnamese and Korean travel companies, fostering the development of new and exciting collaborative ventures.
