Vice President Departs for 2023 Global Summit of Women in Dubai

The Vice President of Vietnam, Vo Thi Anh Xuan, is set to depart from Hanoi on the 3rd of May and travel to Dubai to take part in the 2023 Global Summit of Women. Following this, she will continue on to the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Convened by US-based Globewomen Research & Education Institute, the 2023 summit will bring together 800 delegates from 70 economies to actively engage in cross-border networking, robust best practice exchanges, and inspiring presentations, with a focus on strategic and creative solutions to propel women’s economic progress worldwide.

The Women: Leading a New Climate of Change summit will showcase how women are taking the helm and transforming the global landscape through innovative strategies and technologies. The summit will explore how women are driving economic opportunities and tackling the challenges that society is facing. By highlighting the pioneering work of female leaders, the summit will serve to inspire the next generation of women entrepreneurs and activists. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from and engage with the trailblazers who are spearheading this new climate of change.

The Vice President of Vietnam is set to deliver a keynote address at the opening ceremony of the international conference, taking place from May 4-6. Various sessions and activities are planned for the event.

The Vietnamese delegation’s participation in the summit highlighted the nation’s policies, efforts, and remarkable accomplishments in promoting gender equality and women empowerment, stated Nguyen Manh Tuan, the Vietnamese Ambassador to the UAE.

Their participation is designed to emphasize and celebrate the positive contributions of Vietnamese women to national progress and international integration. In addition, it is intended to provide a platform to share international experiences, strengthen ties between Vietnamese businesswomen and global female business leaders, and expand networking opportunities for all. Tuan shared this information in an interview with the Vietnamese media.

Xuan in her speech will propose a number of initiatives to boost the role of women in tackling global and domestic issues. She will suggest strategies to help women become involved in resolving the world’s most pressing problems and local issues.

The message the Vietnamese delegation will deliver to the summit is to emphasize the significant role and contributions of women to post-pandemic economic recovery, recognize their dedication in driving innovation, and advocate for gender equality and women empowerment in society.

After the summit, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan will pay a working trip to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Qatar.
