To reach this hidden gem, travelers can take a scenic drive along the Ho Chi Minh Road for about 108 kilometers from Dong Hoi city center. From there, a short 200-meter trail through a rubber forest and peaceful village scenery will lead you to the breathtaking Mo Minh Hoa waterfall.

As you approach the waterfall, you’ll be greeted by a mesmerizing sight. The water cascades down a series of stone steps, creating multiple waterfalls with white foam that stretch out like a magical fairyland. It’s no wonder that many visitors are left in awe, captivated by the wild and majestic beauty of this place. This has made Mo Minh Hoa Waterfall one of the most sought-after check-in destinations in Quang Binh.

While the waterfall can be visited at any time of the year, the summer months from April to August are particularly ideal. During this period, the temperature can soar to 39-40 degrees Celsius, but at the waterfall area, you’ll be greeted by a refreshing cool breeze and temperatures that hover around a comfortable 25-26 degrees Celsius.

As you venture higher, the beauty of Mo Minh Hoa Waterfall reveals itself in all its glory, with countless rocks covered in lush green moss. Downstream, you’ll discover a spacious swimming pool area spanning over 500 square meters. This natural swimming pool, surrounded by vibrant flora, has become a favorite spot for many visitors seeking a unique outdoor experience.

In addition to the natural wonders, Quang Binh is also renowned for its culinary delights. The local cuisine is known for its creative blend of ingredients, resulting in rich and flavorful dishes. Fresh seafood, including clams, fish, shrimp, oysters, and snails, is a must-try. Among these, squid is a popular choice, known for its thick and sweet meat.

One of the signature dishes of the region is the Quang Hoa pancake. Made from brown rice and filled with snakehead fish, vegetables, and musa balbisiana (a type of banana), this pancake offers a delightful combination of flavors and textures. The use of brown rice instead of rice flour gives it a unique taste and texture.

Another traditional delicacy worth trying is Chao Hau, or Oyster Soup. Fresh oysters are stir-fried with onions, pepper, and chili, and then added to a bowl of hot porridge. This dish is not only delicious but also highly nutritious.

For a true taste of local culture, sample Banh Beo, a small, sweet-smelling muffin topped with yellow shrimp and spices, with a crunchy layer of fat. Dip it into a spicy-sweet fish sauce, and you’ll understand why this humble dish is so beloved by the locals.
