From the night of May 7 to May 8, scattered showers and thunderstorms are predicted for these regions, with localized rainfall amounts of 10-30mm. This wet weather system will then spread across the Northern region and North-Central provinces from May 7 to May 9, with the Northern mountainous area likely to see more significant rainfall, reaching totals of 70-130mm.

Regional Weather Breakdown:

Northwest: Cloudy skies with rain in the afternoon and a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening and overnight. Thunderstorms may bring tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. Temperatures will range from a low of 22-25°C to a high of 28-31°C.

Northeast: A cloudy and rainy day is expected, with evening and night thunderstorms in some areas. Temperatures will be slightly warmer than the Northwest, with lows of 23-26°C and highs of 27-30°C.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: Morning and afternoon clouds and rain, giving way to scattered showers and thunderstorms after dark. Thunderstorms may be severe, with potential tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. Temperatures will be a bit warmer, with lows of 25-28°C and highs of 30-33°C, even reaching above 35°C in some southern areas.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: A mix of clouds and sun during the day, with evening and nighttime showers and thunderstorms in certain spots. Severe weather is possible, including tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. Temperatures will be similar to the previous region, with lows of 26-29°C and highs of 31-34°C.

Central Highlands: Daytime weather will be a mix of clouds and sun, with evening and nighttime showers and thunderstorms in some locales. Severe thunderstorms are possible, bringing the risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. Temperatures will be slightly cooler, with lows of 19-22°C and highs of 31-34°C.

South: The region will be cloudy and hot, with intense afternoon heat. Evening and nighttime thunderstorms are expected in some areas, and they could be severe. Temperatures will be warm, with lows of 25-28°C and highs of 34-36°C, even surpassing 36°C in some places.

City Forecasts:

Hanoi: Cloudy skies and rain are expected throughout the day, with showers and thunderstorms in the evening. There is a chance of strong winds and tornadoes during thunderstorms. Temperatures will range from lows of 24-26°C to highs of 28-31°C.

Ho Chi Minh City: The city will see a mix of clouds and sun during the day, with evening showers and thunderstorms in certain areas. Severe weather is possible, including tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. Temperatures will be warm, with lows of 25-28°C and highs of 34-36°C, even exceeding 36°C in some neighborhoods.
