The Ha Long and Tuan Chau International Passenger Ports are operational again and have already welcomed thousands of visitors.
In the mountainous province of Lao Cai, despite severe landslides causing damage to roads and spillways, Sa Pa resort township has demonstrated resilience. They have swiftly restored infrastructure, enhanced tourist sites, and improved accommodation facilities.
On September 13, the township’s People’s Committee announced the reopening of tourist attractions, mandating all areas to prioritize visitor safety. The Sun World Fansipan Legend tourist area witnessed hundreds of visitors exploring the May hamlet and the iconic Fansipan flagpole. Other destinations in Sa Pa gradually resumed operations from September 14.
Hai Phong City also joined the recovery efforts, commencing ticket sales for overnight stays on boats in the Cat Ba Archipelago on September 12. Accommodation establishments less affected by the storm are now open to tourists, while heavily impacted ones are undergoing repairs to resume operations soon.

Hanoi has been diligent in its recovery efforts, with many tourist sites resuming normal operations. Historical landmarks such as Hoa Lo Prison and the Temple of Literature – Quoc Tu Giam have witnessed an increase in visitor numbers.
The Hanoi Autumn Festival, postponed due to the typhoon, is now taking place from September 19 to 22. This event is a significant tourism promotion initiative, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 – 2024).
Ha Van Sieu, Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, emphasized the importance of proactive planning by travel businesses. He urged them to develop response strategies for unforeseen events like epidemics and natural disasters.
Given the recent typhoon’s impact, Sieu advised businesses to stay updated, create tailored products, effectively connect tours, and promote safe and high-quality destinations to visitors.
