The Dove Fund Supports Agent Orange Assistant Program in Hue

The People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province has recently been granted a non-refundable aid of over VND 772 million (equivalent to approximately US $30,000) by Dove Fund (USA). This aid will be used to support a healthcare project for individuals affected by Agent Orange in the district.

On February 22, the Thua Thien Hue province People’s Committee issued Decision No. 463/QD-UBND, approving the receipt of non-refundable, non-governmental aid for healthcare for residents affected by Agent Orange in A Luoi district, Thua Thien Hue, from Dove Fund (USA). The amount of aid received was more than VND 772 million.

The project aims to enhance the capacity of medical personnel in providing healthcare services to individuals affected by Agent Orange within the local community.

The project specifically focuses on enhancing cancer screening and palliative care capabilities for local doctors at one hospital and 17 medical centers in A Luoi district. It also includes screening and diagnosis of cancer-related issues for local residents affected by Agent Orange.

Additionally, the project provides cancer treatment for patients in A Luoi district at Hue Central Hospital and offers palliative care methods for cancer patients at local medical facilities.
