Tam Ky city is considered the political, economic, and cultural center of Quang Nam province. Despite the rapid urbanization process, Tam Ky still retains its mysterious beauty of rivers, including the stunning Dam river. The river becomes one of the surprising destinations for many tourists traveling to Quang Nam province.

Dam River is located in Tam Thang commune with a natural area of ​​about 180 hectares. All year-round, the water flows gently, and there are many fish, shrimp, and various migratory birds.

Local fishermen have used bamboo poles and other types of firewood to raise fish and grow tens of hectares of pink lotus, water lily, sedge, reed, etc. The colorful picture of Dam River is also created by the blue sky along with the calls of the birds, including thousands of white storks.

To attract more tourists and create a better experience for guests coming to the area, Tam Thang Commune Farmers’ Association has developed the services of boating, flower gazing, recording the beauty of the lotus, water lilies, and casting nets, fishing, etc.

Tam Ky city has also organized experience tours and has plans to develop community-based eco-tourism in the area.
