As part of activities celebrating the 31st anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK), the event is expected to draw crowds of visitors, including Koreans in Vietnam and Hai Phong in particular, heard a press conference held by the Hai Phong Radio and Television Station.
The event aims to enhance the linkages between Vietnamese and Korean firms while contributing to popularising the culture, tourism, history, and people of the two countries, raising their mutual understanding and tightening Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership, as well as the relationship between Hai Phong and the RoK.
There will be nearly 100 booths, including 16 for Vietnamese and Korean products and 72 for cuisine, specialties, and beverages of the two countries.

Entertainment activities such as Waterbomb Festival and Kpop Dance Cover, along with art performances and fashion shows by both Vietnamese and Korean artists will also be part of the week.
The RoK now ranks first in terms of foreign direct investment (FDI) in Vietnam, second in official development assistance (ODA), labor and tourism cooperation, and third in trade collaboration. Notably, it is Vietnam’s biggest economic partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Last year, these projects generated $14.5 billion in revenue and earned $13.5 billion from exports, contributing VND3.57 trillion ($155.2 million) to the budget and generating jobs for 41,000 workers.
Notably, Korean has been chosen as one of the foreign languages taught in several local schools.
Sam Son sea festival slated for April 21
The 2018 sea festival of Sam Son city of the north central coastal province of Thanh Hoa will take place on April 21, heard a press conference held in the city on April 12.
