Busan Theater Association is an organization with a rich history of operations and numerous accomplishments in culture and the arts. Each year, the association holds two festivals in June and October. Currently, it has 350 members and offers not only singing and dancing performances but also musical instrument performances.

During the meeting, Lee kindly invited the HCM City Theater Association to attend the cultural festival that will be held in Busan in October this year.

Director Ton That Can, the Standing Vice President of the HCM City Theater Association, provided an overview of the association’s activities and introduced his guests to the Small Theatre of HCM City, a socialization unit that has achieved significant accomplishments in the performing arts. He also mentioned the training center which educates many students, and the HCM City Artists’ Friendship Board that actively cares for elderly and sickly artists – a unique model found only in Vietnam.

The members of the Busan Theater Association were surprised to learn about the existence of a nursing home for single elderly artists in poor health in HCM City.

Lee stated that this would be the first meeting and that there would be many more to further discuss the goals of exchange and performance activities between the two associations.

People’s Artist Tran Ngoc Giau, the President of the HCM City Theater Association, hopes to have the opportunity to organize exchanges and performances with the Busan Theater Association in order to strengthen the cultural, artistic, and theatrical exchange relationship between the two associations. This will also create high-quality cultural and artistic works to serve audiences in both countries.
