This breathtaking waterfall is comprised of three distinct layers, each offering its own unique charm. The first waterfall, Tat Cum, sets the tone with its majestic and poetic presence. The local people affectionately refer to the area at the foot of this waterfall as “Dragon Abyss,” owing to the presence of dragon-shaped cliffs and gushing underground water that evokes the image of a dragon spraying water.
The second layer, Tat Cao, presents a more challenging conquest. It is characterized by two falling branches that resemble silken strips winding their way through the mountains and forests. At its foot lies a clear blue pool called “Vuc Quyen,” where visitors can relax and unwind on uniquely shaped rocks.

The final layer, Tat Gio, is the most challenging to access, but it is well worth the effort. Here, the water flows along limestone slabs into a deep abyss known as “Vuc Linh” (sacred abyss). Visitors can take a refreshing dip in the cool blue waters while listening to the soothing sounds of the waterfall and the songs of forest birds.
The waterfall is surrounded by ancient woods, some of which are hundreds of years old, with precious trees and tangled vines. The rich vegetation attracts a variety of bird species and colorful butterflies. From a distance, the waterfall paints a picturesque scene as it cascades down, with lush fields at its foot. Tay and Nung ethnic minority groups have built their homes on the mountain slopes, adding to the romantic and pristine ambiance of this natural haven.

Recognized as a national landscape in 2007, Ban Ba Waterfall is more than just a stunning natural attraction. It is a place where visitors can explore the diverse flora and fauna of the jungle, including many precious plant species. After a day of exploration, tourists can indulge in a delicious meal featuring local specialties such as bamboo shoots, sticky rice, chicken, and fish sauce.
Due to capacity constraints and a commitment to minimizing environmental impact, the number of participants for discovery tours at Ban Ba Waterfall is limited annually. Most tours are sold according to a fixed schedule, ensuring a balanced approach to eco-tourism.
