Hanoi undergoes makeover ahead of National Day celebrations
With a major holiday just two days away, every corner of the capital has been transformed to feature decorations such as national flags, colourful lights, flowers, and slogans to commemorate the country’s 75th National Day (September 2).
National flags can be seen on display throughout the streets of Hanoi ahead of the 75th anniversary of National Day. Here a large-size national flag stands tall over Ba Dinh Square, the site where President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence 75 years ago on September 2, 1945.
Hoang Van Thu street in Ba Dinh district is the location of many significant buildings, such as the headquarters of the Party, the State, and various Government’s agencies. Ahead of the special day, the street is adorned with national flags.
So is Hoang Dieu street in Ba Dinh district which is home to key government offices.
Built in 1812, the Flag Tower of Hanoi has stood the test of time and become an iconic landmark of the capital city.
