The festival culminated in a lobster culinary contest on August 9, with 60 contestants from 20 teams across Vietnam showcasing their skills.

The event aimed to provide insights into local lobster development plans, introduce new technologies, and address environmental concerns in Cam Ranh’s lobster farming.

Ngo Huu Hien, vice chairman of the Cam Ranh municipal administration, emphasized the festival’s role in promoting domestic seafood consumption, boosting exports, and driving tourism. He highlighted the unique and attractive activities that positioned Cam Ranh, known as “the kingdom of lobsters,” as a must-visit destination.

A team from Ninh Thuan province took home the first prize for their impressive creation of six dishes made from Cam Ranh lobster.

The Vietnam Records Organisation (VietKings) presented a certificate recognizing 120 dishes made from Cam Ranh lobster—a remarkable feat for the nation.
