The pre-rehearsal draws plenty of attention from numerous local residents and tourists.

Le Thi Thoa, a spectator from Bac Ninh province, approximately 600km away from Dien Bien, states that her family arrived at the stadium at 3:30 a.m. on May 2 to witness the pre-rehearsal.

Despite spending a sleepless night outdoors, many are eager to witness military forces join the practice ahead of the official rehearsal.

Mobile policemen are also present early to ensure security onsite.

Dien Bien province’s stadium is relatively small, and organizers have arranged only 4,000 seats in Stands A and B.

A grand military parade will be held at the stadium on May 7 morning as part of the activities commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

During the recent national holiday from April 27 to May 1, the northern province of Dien Bien welcomed approximately 180,000 visitors, with that number anticipated to increase in the upcoming days.
