Every morning, parents queue with their children at vaccination sites across Hanoi’s Hoai Duc district. The photo captures young patients awaiting medical checkups, a necessary step before receiving their measles shot.

Healthcare professionals have been thoroughly trained to manage any adverse reactions that may occur post-vaccination, ensuring the safety of each child.

Nguyen Dinh Hung, deputy head of the Di Trach Medical Station, shares, “We’ve assigned specific tasks to each staff member for different stages of the process to guarantee a smooth and secure vaccination experience.”

As part of the protocol, all children undergo medical examinations before vaccination and are monitored for 30 minutes post-injection.

In addition to static sites, mobile teams of medical professionals are dispatched to communes and villages, offering door-to-door vaccinations and addressing any post-vaccination incidents.

Hoang Thi Thanh, deputy director of the Hoai Duc District Medical Centre, emphasizes their enhanced communication campaigns, ensuring that no eligible child is missed in this crucial immunization drive.

All vaccination sites are well-equipped with essential facilities, shock treatment kits, and oxygen tanks, prioritizing the safety and well-being of each child during the procedure.

The district’s measles vaccination campaign has been met with overwhelming support and active participation from local residents, united in protecting their community’s health.

According to statistics, Hanoi has reported 17 cases of measles since the start of the year, with no fatalities. This campaign aims to maintain this positive trajectory and safeguard the city’s children.
