The frost has created a white coating over all of the trees on Mau Son Mountain peak, thereby creating a rare natural scene in the area.
A severe cold spell has been hitting the northern and north-central regions since January 22, with the weather event bringing sub-zero temperatures to several places and causing frost to occur in high mountainous areas, with the cold predicted to last until January 27.
Frost begins to melt on the afternoon of January 25 as temperatures fall to between one and two degrees Celsius.
In Phia Oac mountainous area in Cao Bang province, frost also appears before it gradually melts on January 25.
