To Lam vows to work with Xi Jinping and other senior Chinese leaders to promote the long-standing tradition of friendship between the two nations into a new phase of stable and long-term development.

To Lam affirms Vietnam’s commitment to its independent, self-reliant, peaceful, and friendly foreign policy. Xi Jinping strongly affirms China’s friendly policy towards Vietnam, considering it a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy.

The two sides agree to enhance cooperation in security, defense, economics, trade, and investment within the framework of the “Two Corridors, One Belt” initiative, along with infrastructure connections, local cooperation, and exchanges between state-owned enterprises.

After the talks, the two leaders witnessed the signing of 14 cooperation documents between ministries, agencies, and localities of the two countries, covering various fields such as Party affairs, agriculture, media, healthcare, infrastructure, economics, trade, industry, and banking.

During their tea party, the leaders reviewed the tradition of friendship between the two nations, discussed the results of the talks, and emphasized the importance of further developing Vietnam-China relations.

To Lam welcomed China’s engagement in cooperation projects to build railway lines connecting Vietnam and China. He proposed that China continue to open its market to high-quality Vietnamese agricultural products and facilitate the opening of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Chongqing.

To Lam encouraged closer cooperation between the National Assembly of Vietnam and the National People’s Congress of China through visit exchanges.

To Lam proposed that the two parliaments effectively implement their recent agreement on cooperation, increase the sharing of lawmaking experiences, and monitor the implementation of common perceptions and agreements between the senior leaders of both countries.

To Lam expected increased cooperation between the two fronts and encouraged localities to foster cooperation in their respective fields of strength.

During his visit to the Party School of the Chinese Communist Party, To Lam proposed that China continue to assist Vietnam in personnel training through flexible forms.

To Lam visited historical sites in Guangzhou, including the resting place of Vietnamese revolutionary activist Pham Hong Thai and the residence of President Ho Chi Minh during his overseas search for national salvation from 1924 to 1927.

To Lam met with Huang Kunming, Secretary of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

To Lam met with representatives of friendship organizations, families of revolutionary generals, experts, and advisors who supported Vietnam during the resistance wars, as well as those who helped preserve relics related to the Vietnamese revolution.

To Lam asked the expatriates to uphold the tradition of unity and mutual assistance, abide by Chinese laws, integrate well into the local community, and contribute to Vietnam-China relations while maintaining their love for their homeland.

The high-ranking Vietnamese delegation returned to Hanoi on August 20, concluding their three-day state visit to China. The two countries released a joint statement on further strengthening the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
