Hanoi – In a recent development, the Government has issued Resolution No. 44/NQ-CP, dated March 7, 2025, pertaining to visa exemptions for citizens from 12 countries around the globe.
The countries encompassed by this resolution are Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, and Finland.
As per the resolution, citizens of these countries will be exempt from visa requirements for a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, regardless of their passport type or purpose of visit. This exemption is contingent on fully satisfying the entry conditions stipulated by Vietnamese laws.
The visa-free travel policy for these countries’ citizens when entering Vietnam will be effectuated from March 15, 2025, to March 14, 2028, and will be subject to extension as per the provisions of Vietnamese legislation.
It is important to note that the Government’s Resolution No. 32/NQ-CP, dated March 15, 2022, and Resolution No. 128/NQ-CP, dated August 14, 2023, will expire on March 15, 2025.
