The event named “A love letter to…” was organized jointly by the Vietnamese Students Association in the UK (SVUK) and the Vietnamese professionals community in the UK (VietPro). The purpose of the event was to introduce Vietnamese artistic talents, develop a Vietnamese art-loving community in the host country, and promote the culture and arts of Vietnam to British and international friends.

The program consisted of six themes: love, gratitude, togetherness, home, forgiveness, and family. It showcased 20 rich and unique artworks performed by Vietnamese students and expats living and working in the UK. The aim of the event was to strengthen solidarity within the Vietnamese community and share the values and beauty of Vietnamese culture with international friends.

Dao Thi Hong, First Secretary in charge of education at the Embassy of Vietnam in the UK, highly appreciated the efforts of SVUK and VietPro in organizing such a meaningful event. She emphasized that the event helped connect the Vietnamese community in the UK and promoted Vietnamese artistic talents to international friends. She also expressed her delight at the development of the Vietnamese community in the UK, including SVUK, and affirmed that the Vietnamese Embassy always supports Vietnamese associations in the UK to build a stronger Vietnamese community.

SVUK represents over 14,000 Vietnamese students living and working in the UK and connects 46 Vietnamese Students Societies (Vietsoc) from universities and colleges across the UK. VietPro, established in 2010, aims to connect networks and career opportunities, support Vietnamese professionals and students in building soft skills, and integrate them into the working environment in the UK and Vietnam. Since its establishment, VietPro has organized various professional events, including Prospect, SkillQuest, and VietPro Christmas Dinner. These events have created a foundation for building a network of study and working relationships for the Vietnamese professional and student community in the UK.
