The designer draws inspiration from ancient motifs in the 17th century’s carved architecture style, combined with pearl mosaics on Thai Tuan silk. It took a group of 15 designers and artisans based in Thuong Tin district five months to complete the dress, weighing up to 200 kilos. Designer Hoang Ly revealed that through the dress, artists aim to highlight and honor the nation’s traditional cultural identity. They plan to bring the artwork to several popular tourist destinations in order to promote Vietnamese culture and heritage to both domestic and international audiences.
