Berlin – Vietnam left a lasting impression at ITB Berlin 2025, the world’s premier travel trade show. The country showcased its vibrant culture and diverse tourism attractions, captivating attendees from across the globe.

The event, held from March 4 to 6 at the Messe Berlin Exhibition Grounds, witnessed a remarkable turnout with 5,800 exhibitors from 170 countries and territories, reflecting a 5% growth from the previous year.

Addressing a press conference hosted by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism on March 5, Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany, Vu Quang Minh, highlighted the significance of promoting Vietnam’s tourism at ITB Berlin. He emphasized how these activities not only showcase the beauty of Vietnam but also foster cultural exchange, enhance mutual understanding, and build international camaraderie.

Ambassador Minh also drew attention to Vietnam’s recent strides in tourism infrastructure development, improved visitor experiences, and a strong commitment to sustainability. He underscored initiatives promoting eco-tourism and community-based tourism, reflecting Vietnam’s dedication to preserving its natural and cultural heritage.

Vietnam’s consistent participation in ITB Berlin underscores its aim to establish itself as a welcoming, safe, and high-quality destination for European travelers. The event offers invaluable opportunities for Vietnamese tourism businesses to stay abreast of market trends and forge international collaborations.

At ITB Berlin 2025, Vietnam’s national pavilion, spanning 400 sq. m., united over 30 leading tourism groups and businesses. More than 100 Vietnamese travel agencies, hotels, and service providers participated in the fair, promoting Vietnam’s 2025 National Tourism Year, with a focus on the ancient city of Hue.

Vietnam strategically highlighted four key tourism products at ITB Berlin: marine tourism, nature tourism, cultural tourism, and urban tourism. Additionally, the country promoted adventure travel, culinary tours, family vacations, wellness retreats, and golf tourism.

Phan Linh Chi, Deputy Director General of the National Authority of Tourism, emphasized the significance of the European market for Vietnam’s tourism industry. In 2024, Vietnam welcomed nearly 2 million European visitors, with the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain, and Italy being the top contributors. This trend continues to grow, with a 22% increase in European arrivals in January compared to the previous month and the same period last year.

Vietnam has consistently garnered international acclaim for its tourism offerings, recognized through prestigious awards. Many Vietnamese destinations have been ranked among the world’s best by renowned travel sites and global media outlets, including TripAdvisor, The Telegraph, CNN, and the Travel Channel. With a target of attracting 22 to 23 million international visitors in 2025, Vietnam is poised to further enhance its reputation as a must-visit destination.
