The park will be located in a sprawling 60,000-square-meter ancient pine forest in a popular tourist destination in the district.

Ho Chi Minh City-based travel company Ben Thanh Tourist recently signed a memorandum of understanding for the construction of a new park with two South Korean partners. The agreement was sealed on Tuesday, much to the delight of both parties.

It’s designed to attract tourists from all over the world to explore and experience the city’s diverse attractions.

The digital tourism product, with dynamic light performances using Newto Company’s cutting-edge virtual reality technology, will bring unprecedented experiences and thrilling entertainment activities to visitors.

Nguyen Xuan Binh, the Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism, stated that the park would be instrumental in drawing more tourists to the coastal city.

“The development of a virtual reality light theme park will be a major contribution to diversifying tourism products, helping to spur the city’s tourism industry back into growth following the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Binh.

Kim Woon Tae, the director of the Da Nang office of the Korea Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, stated that Da Nang is a favorite destination of South Koreans. Before the pandemic, millions of tourists from South Korea journeyed to the central coastal city annually.

The projected virtual reality light theme park is expected to help Da Nang entice back South Korean holidaymakers and visitors from other nations, and become a milestone for the cooperation between Vietnamese and South Korean firms, he said.
