According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, the national tally of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus across the country has risen to 1,113 as three more cases were reported on Tuesday, whereas the total deaths caused by the virus amounted to 35 up to now.

The ministry added that the three new infections were Malaysian and two Vietnamese citizens who have recently entered the country from abroad and have been sent to state quarantine as they arrived.

It further announced that one more patient has recovered, raising the total cured cases in the country to 1,026 as of Tuesday.

Meanwhile, over 13,800 people are being quarantined and monitored in the country, the ministry said.

The nation has gone 40 days without any community transmission of the virus.

Worldwide, the Covid-19 death toll has risen to more than 1.086 million.
