The South Korean boy band BTS, formed in 2013, has taken the world by storm, breaking records and topping charts with their albums and singles. Their global success knows no bounds, and they’ve made history as the first all-South Korean act to reign over the Billboard Hot 100, amassing a plethora of awards, including Billboard Music Awards and American Music Awards.
Beyond their musical prowess, BTS has become a cultural phenomenon, spreading powerful messages of self-love and mental health awareness. Ngoc’s deep admiration for the band was evident as she incorporated their music and aesthetics into her wedding, held on September 21. Ngoc, a dedicated Army member, had long envisioned a BTS-themed wedding, and her dream came to life as she meticulously planned every detail in just 20 days. From decorations to performances, everything was carefully crafted to pay homage to the band. The wedding flowers were a stunning shade of purple, and the music playlist exclusively featured BTS songs, creating a unique and personalized atmosphere.
The wedding’s theme, ‘I Purple You,’ a phrase synonymous with the band, added a special touch to the festivities. Ngoc’s love story is intertwined with BTS, from attending their concerts to eagerly awaiting album releases and sharing idol movie nights with her partner. “My groom may not be a K-pop fan,” she shared, “but he fully supports my passions,” showcasing the couple’s mutual understanding and respect.
