DIFF 2024 will showcase fireworks displays by seven international teams representing France, Italy, Poland, Finland, the US, Germany, and China, alongside the Da Nang team from Vietnam. This five-night event will take place along the Han River bank on Tran Hung Dao Street in Son Tra district.

Each team will have a 20-minute slot to stage their mesmerizing fireworks show.

Covering a total area of 1,050 sq.m, the DIFF stage will be set up along the Han River bank on Tran Hung Dao street. A grandstand accommodating 5,000 spectators will be available for a perfect view of the festival.

Over five nights, visitors will be treated to stunning fireworks displays illuminating the Da Nang skies. Additionally, the opening ceremony will feature special art programs with the participation of renowned artists.

On the final night, July 13th, the two best teams will compete for the top prize.

The festival was first held in 2008, but it was temporarily suspended for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic before resuming in 2023. This year marks the 12th edition of the DIFF.

The DIFF has played a significant role in Da Nang earning the prestigious title of Asia’s Leading Festival & Event Destination in both 2016 and 2022, as recognized by the World Travel Awards.

In 2023, Da Nang welcomed over 7.4 million visitors, doubling the previous year’s figure and reaching 93% of the 2019 pre-pandemic level, as reported by the municipal Department of Tourism.

Among these visitors, over two million were international tourists, marking a four-fold increase compared to the previous year and accounting for 62% of the 2019 figure.
