Organizers of the event shared that Vietnam’s culinary delights, including pho, fried seafood spring rolls, and grilled shrimp and chicken spring rolls, were a huge hit among Saudi Arabian locals and international visitors alike.
Within just two hours of the event’s opening ceremony on Friday evening, nearly 300 bowls of pho and over 500 spring rolls were devoured, showcasing the popularity of Vietnamese cuisine.
Nguyen Thuong Quan, chairman of the Vietnam Chefs Association, who led the culinary preparations, shared that he had diligently studied Saudi Arabian culture and cuisine to create Vietnamese dishes that would appeal to local tastes.

Beyond the delicious food, the event also offered a cultural experience, with participants engaging in traditional Vietnamese arts and crafts. They created to he (toy figurines), experimented with Dong Ho folk paintings, and even tried their hand at lacquer painting under the guidance of skilled Vietnamese artisans.
The melodic sounds of Vietnamese musical instruments, such as flutes, two-chord fiddles, and monochords, added to the allure of the event, attracting a large and captivated audience.
The exhibition on Vietnam’s culture and UNESCO-recognized world heritages further enriched the experience, providing a window into the country’s rich history and heritage for Saudi Arabian locals and foreign visitors.
