Bai Tu Long National Park is famed for its rich ecosystems.

According to local legends, the Jade Emperor assigned Mother Dragon and her children to help Vietnamese fight invaders. During the battle, the dragons spewed jewels which later became limestone islets. The place where Mother Dragon landed is believed to be now Ha Long Bay while the location where her kids landed is Bai Tu Long Bay.

Bai Tu Long fully exposes its beauty from May to October. Aside from boat trips, visitors can travel along the coastal road in Van Don District to admire the beautiful bay and the surrounded majestic mountains and forests.
