Russian students who have chosen a future career related to the Vietnamese language are highly interested in learning about Vietnamese culture.
Topics such as home decoration customs, the peach blossom and apricot blossom markets, the making of Chung (square sticky rice) cake and banh tet (cylindrical sticky rice cake), and the tradition of giving lucky money for good luck and health during Tet are captivating cultural lessons for Russian students studying Vietnamese.
Currently, the Vietnamese language is widely taught in Russia. In the 2023-2024 school year, the Diplomatic Academy of Russia will be enrolling students majoring in the language for the first time.
