MMUSIC organizers have confirmed that Hwasa and LOCO, renowned artists from the Republic of Korea (RoK), will be gracing the event with their presence. This exciting news has sparked anticipation among fans, eager to witness the talented performers take the stage.

Hwasa, whose real name is Ahn Hye-jin, is a multifaceted artist with a captivating stage presence. She first captured the hearts of audiences as a member of the popular girl group Mamamoo, which debuted in 2014. However, it was her solo career that truly showcased her versatility and unique artistic vision.

In February 2019, Hwasa made her highly anticipated solo debut with the song “Twit.” The track not only topped the Circle Digital Chart but also garnered the prestigious Song of the Year award at the Gaon Chart Music Awards. Her talent and influence were further recognized in 2021 when she was honored on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 Asia list, solidifying her impact on the industry.

LOCO, one of the RoK’s foremost hip-hop artists, will be bringing his dynamic performance style to the festival. With hits such as “Hold Me Tight,” “Too Much,” and “Some,” LOCO is set to thrill the audience and showcase his exceptional talent.

The music festival will also showcase the talents of eight prominent Vietnamese singers, including SUBOI, Karik, Andree Right Hand, Wren Evans, Tlinh, Quang Hung MasterD, Duong Domic, and WXRDIE. These local artists will undoubtedly add a diverse and vibrant dimension to the event.

GENfest, organized by MMUSIC, debuted in November 2023 with a successful launch. The festival aims to provide a platform for young, promising Vietnamese artists to showcase their talents on an international stage, fostering cultural exchange and creating a dynamic hub for creative collaborations.

The previous GENfest, a two-day event, attracted over 35,000 attendees and offered a diverse range of entertainment. From musical performances and art exhibitions to fashion, culinary delights, and outdoor games, the festival created an immersive experience that celebrated art and culture. It provided an opportunity for young individuals to engage with high-quality music and embark on a journey of cultural discovery.
