This is one of the exciting new features that visitors can expect during the 6th season of SR Celebrating Local Pride.
The new experience
SR Celebrating Local Pride is a fashion event that aims to bridge the gap between emerging fashion designers, also known as new fashion brands, and their customers.
To make fashion designs available for purchase during the event, the show’s organizers have decided to integrate the SR Celebrating Local Pride show with the BIDU app.
This app includes a “See Now, Buy Now” feature that allows users to shop while enjoying the fashion show.
To use this feature, viewers simply need to log into the app and place orders for the designs they prefer while enjoying the fashion show.
The SR Celebrating Local Pride show attracted numerous Vietnamese fashion designers. |
In the past, it often took around three months or more for designs to become available after being displayed at fashion events. This waiting period could eventually diminish customer interest.
The integration of an app for purchasing items within a fashion show has been successfully implemented in other countries. This marks the first instance of such an initiative being introduced at a fashion show in Vietnam.
Ha Mi, co-founder of StyleRepublik, a fashion company based in Ho Chi Minh City, has confirmed the participation of 15 prominent fashion brand names in the 6th season of SR Celebrating Local Pride, indicating an expanded scale.
The number of designs presented at the show will be twice as many as in previous seasons, reflecting a growing commitment to promoting Vietnamese fashion.

Exploring a new path for Vietnamese fashion
The SR Celebrating Local Pride Autumn-Winter 2023 show, themed “Future is Now,” has become an inspiring platform for fashion enthusiasts and aspiring designers alike.
Among the 15 domestic fashion brands participating this season are Qen, Ướm, Nguyen Thanh Danh, Huyen Chau Nguyen, De Juniel, Dearman, Chen, Mauve, Esther Studios, and Bad Biss.
According to Ha Mi, the organizers intentionally selected brand names known for their distinctive characteristics to showcase various facets of Vietnamese fashion.
The designers have unveiled versatile fashion collections that align with global trends, aiming to reach international markets.
To keep up with global fashion trends, many designers are incorporating eco-friendly materials and recycled fabrics, with sustainability as a primary goal.
The event’s poster, featuring models with strong personalities, has been unveiled by the organizers, including Dahan Phuong Oanh, Viet Dung, and Linh Khieu.
These models are among the many young Vietnamese talents who are increasingly participating in fashion shows both domestically and internationally.
