The event, held at Ngo Art Gallery in Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City, took place from December 16th to December 31st, 2021. Attendees included Vietnamese Ambassador to Israel Ly Duc Trung, who was on a weeklong working trip in Ho Chi Minh City and southern localities before presenting credentials to the Israeli president in April.
Last weekend, the ambassador had the opportunity to visit the gallery where he engaged in an insightful conversation with renowned painter William Pham. Together, they explored various art subjects that have the potential to effectively convey messages addressing global issues, human experiences, environmental preservation, and the pursuit of peace.

One of the featured canvas paintings that captured the attention of visitors was “Vu Khuc Nhan Ai” (The Dance in Mercy). This artwork was specifically chosen to be showcased during a prestigious ceremony that recognized the recipient of the World Leader in AI World Society (AIWS) Award in 2021. This ceremony took place in April of that year as part of a larger series of events organized by the United Nations Centennial Initiative.
William Pham, born in 1979, obtained his MBA and doctorate from prestigious universities in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
He previously served as a member of the international relations department at the State Audit of Vietnam.
Pham, an advocate for artistic freedom, curated his inaugural solo exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City in 2020. The exhibition showcased a collection of 19 abstract artworks.
The event received high praise from a multitude of art critics, architects, artists, and diplomats.
