The 30-year-old model belongs to the Ede ethnic minority group in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak. She was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam 2017.
She also achieved a Top 5 spot in the Miss Universe 2018 pageant, making it the best performance by a Vietnamese contestant in the history of the event.
Missosology recognized Miss Universe Vietnam H’Hen Nie as its Timeless Beauty 2018, making her the first contestant from Vietnam to receive this prestigious title.

H’Hen is also recognized for being the first person from an ethnic minority to be crowned Miss Universe in Vietnam.
She was born into a poor family in a rural village in the Central Highland province of Dak Lak, where it is common to marry as early as 14 years old. She moved to Ho Chi Minh City and started working various jobs at a very young age to support herself.
In 2017, she achieved the title of Miss Universe Vietnam.
