On Sunday, the Marshall Islands-flagged cruise ship Insignia, carrying around 600 tourists, arrived in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, marking the beginning of an exploratory journey to this picturesque coastal city.

Apart from visiting popular tourist spots and exploring the beaches on pedicabs, many of these travelers embarked on a bicycle tour of the Nha Trang countryside in Dien Hoa Commune, Dien Khanh District on the same day.

The tour offered them thrilling moments as they cycled through tranquil villages, vast coconut plantations, rice paddies, lotus ponds, and witnessed buffaloes and cows grazing in the grasslands.

Lee Kreps, an American tourist, expressed her delight at visiting Nha Trang for the first time, praising both the scenery and the friendly locals.

She mentioned that she had engaged in yoga as a warm-up exercise prior to the cycling tour and that she was particularly impressed by the pleasant weather conditions.

After exploring the villages, the visitors participated in cooking classes led by local chefs, where they learned to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes such as spring rolls and pancakes.

These culinary sessions were filled with laughter and enthusiasm as the foreign participants eagerly absorbed the intricacies of Vietnamese cuisine.

Pruce Godke, an American traveler, expressed his joy while savoring the spring rolls he had prepared. He shared that he had visited various destinations in Vietnam, including Hanoi and Da Nang, before arriving in Nha Trang, and that each place had offered him unique experiences of the local culture and people.

Godke highlighted the friendly smiles of the children he encountered and the peaceful sight of buffaloes grazing along the roadsides as particularly memorable moments. He expressed his appreciation for the countryside tour, especially the cooking classes, and mentioned that upon returning home, he would share his newfound culinary knowledge with his family and friends.

Godke suggested that installing English-language signs along rural roads would enhance the navigation experience for foreign travelers and prevent them from getting lost.

He also recommended establishing shops selling local specialties and essential supplies, with sales personnel proficient in English to facilitate communication.

According to Godke, countryside tour operators should consider organizing visits to local homes, allowing foreign travelers to immerse themselves in daily activities like harvesting and cooking.

Bui Minh Thang, director of Phuong Thang Trading and Tourism Services Company Limited, emphasized the immense potential of Nha Trang for countryside tourism, catering to both international and domestic travelers.

Thang stressed the crucial role of tour guides in showcasing the splendor of Vietnamese culture to visitors and enriching their overall experience.

To meet the growing demand from foreign travelers, many tourism companies have invested in constructing new tourist boats and yachts.
