The VBA 2022 brought together a diverse group of talented foreign players from the U.S. and various countries. These players made significant contributions to their teams through their exceptional physique and technical skills.

Despite the short amount of time they had to adapt to a new environment and teammates, these players faced challenges such as adjusting to the local food and climate in Vietnam. One American player, Flenard Whitfield, who played for the Nha Trang Dolphins, shared his difficulty in acclimating to the Vietnamese cuisine and weather.

Whitfield also expressed his admiration for Vietnamese players, noting that they are equally competitive in professional tournaments abroad.

He emphasized that each player possesses unique skills and is continuously improving.

Cleveland Jackson, Whitfield’s teammate, also faced difficulties with the hot and humid weather in Vietnam.

Despite the challenging climate, Jackson stated that he recognizes that weather conditions should not be used as an excuse for poor performance.

Desean Parsons, who played for the Ho Chi Minh City Wings, expressed his appreciation for the passionate fans in Vietnam and described it as one of the most remarkable places he has played in.
