The event is part of activities to mark the 130th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19), the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press (June 21), and the 73rd anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers Day (July 27).
The exhibition will be divided into three sections, the first depicting the enemy’s harsh punishment of Vietnamese revolutionary soldiers at Hoa Lo, Son La, Con Dao and Phu Quoc prisons, also called the “hells on the earth”.
Meanwhile, the second section recalls the miraculous escapes of Vietnamese soldiers in many prisons around the country during the fight against French colonialism.
The last will feature photos and documents spotlighting the revolutionaries’ contributions to national construction and defence after they escaped from the colonial and imperial prisons.
Visitors to the exhibition can have exchanges with historical witnesses who participated directly in the escapes and their relatives at the opening ceremony.
