The second edition of the Green Vietnam program underscores the importance of environmental protection and sustainable practices. This event witnessed an enthusiastic response from young people who pledged their support through fingerprints and actively participated in games and activities.

Among them, Duong Khanh Linh, a freshman at Van Hien University, shared her passion for environmental protection, inspired by Miss Intercontinental 2022 Le Nguyen Bao Ngoc. She has adopted sustainable habits, such as waste sorting and reducing plastic use.

A Commitment to Lifestyle Changes

Linh is not alone in her dedication to environmental causes. Nguyen Bach Thien Huong, a student at the Ho Chi Minh City Open University, has ditched single-use plastic bottles, favoring reusable alternatives. She commends her school for providing water purifiers, encouraging the use of personal bottles, and reducing bottled water consumption.

Hoang Vu, a sophomore at Nong Lam University, identifies financial health as a barrier to green living for students but assures his support for eco-friendly products when feasible.

The event buzzed with young people enthusiastically sharing their green actions and expressing excitement for the new and captivating activities within the Green Vietnam 2025 program.

Amplifying Actions and Commitments

Ngo Minh Hai, secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, expressed his hope that the Green Vietnam program would recognize businesses and startups embracing green business models, products, and consumption. He emphasized the program’s role in raising awareness about green living, especially among the youth, to foster a sustainable future.

Nguyen Gia Huy Chuong, CEO of PRO Vietnam – Packaging Recycling JSC, highlighted the progress made by participating enterprises in the first edition of the program. He stated that the second season aims to intensify environmental initiatives and advance sustainable development further.

Miss Intercontinental 2022 Ngoc, through her ‘Change Zero – Youth for Sustainable Development’ program, encourages young people to take action for the environment. She emphasizes the urgency of climate change and the need to adapt consumption habits, minimize waste, and choose eco-friendly products. Ngoc’s message to the community is a powerful reminder of our interconnectedness with the planet.
