The Vietnam-Japan Festival promises to be a cultural extravaganza, offering a wide range of activities to celebrate and strengthen the bond between the two nations. According to Le Thu Hanh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, the festival will showcase a diverse range of events and exhibitions.

One of the highlights will be an exhibition commemorating Vietnam-Japan cooperation achievements, along with a display of children’s paintings from Japanese localities that share cooperative ties with Da Nang. These include Kanagawa Prefecture, Sakai City, Kisarazu City, Mimasaka City, and Mitsuke City.

The festival grounds will buzz with 80 vibrant booths, each offering a unique glimpse into Vietnamese and Japanese cultures. Visitors can expect to indulge in traditional delicacies, gain insights into education and study opportunities, and explore tourism and trade possibilities. It’s a one-stop destination to immerse yourself in the very best of both cultures.

Additionally, a conference on promoting Japanese tourism in Da Nang and an information day dedicated to studying in Japan will be organized. These events will provide valuable opportunities to learn about travel and educational prospects in the Land of the Rising Sun.

For entertainment, Vietnamese and Japanese artists will present captivating art performances over four nights. Headlining the festival is the famous Hip Hop band Kawakado from Japan, who are set to enthral audiences with their energetic and unforgettable performance.

One of the most anticipated events is a workshop that will delve into the cooperation between Da Nang and Japan in cutting-edge fields. This includes digital technology, green technology, information technology, microchips, semiconductors, and human resources training. It’s a chance to explore the innovative collaborations between the two countries.

Sports enthusiasts will also have a treat, as the festival will feature Japanese sports games such as baseball, wrestling, and football. There will also be traditional folk dance exchanges and an introduction to the elegant Japanese tea-making ceremony, offering a holistic cultural experience.

Organized by the Municipal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Japanese Consulate General in Da Nang, and administrations of Japanese localities, the festival has a rich history, having been held eight times since its inception in 2014. With over 35,000 visitors each year, it has left a lasting impression on both Vietnamese citizens and Japanese friends, fostering mutual understanding and cultural appreciation.
