Themed ‘Da Lat – The City of Four Seasons of Flowers,’ the biennial cultural-tourism festival, which usually lasts for only a few days on each edition since its introduction in 2003, was originally scheduled for 2021, but was pushed back because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Returning on a larger scale of two months, it began on November 11, while the official opening ceremony was just held on Sunday night, which featured performances from many famed Vietnamese singers and some 400 artists from Lam Dong and from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

The event aims to honor flowers and floriculture in Da Lat, promote tourism and trade, and call for greater domestic and international cooperation and investment into the famous hilly resort city.
It is also expected to continue to promote the brand of Da Lat as the country’s Flower Festival City, as well as introducing the city’s culture and people to visitors.
The festival includes 10 main programs and 41 sideline activities, such as the final round of the Miss Earth Vietnam 2022 beauty pageant.

Along with hosting traditional art flower spaces, the organizers have arranged a wide range of activities during the fest, including a helicopter tour around Da Lat, a youth music program, a hot-air balloon festival, and street carnivals with the participation of international dancers.
National trade fairs and a football tournament are also held on this occasion.
Visitors can enjoy those activities until the end of this month.

The Da Lat Flower Festival 2022 officially kicked off in Da Lat City, situated in Vietnam’s Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on Sunday night.
