The photographs were curated to create a larger collage, which was then shared on Monday with the members of Hanoi Massive Community. This Facebook group boasts an impressive membership of over 135,000 expatriates and local residents residing in the capital city.

In a collage consisting of 25 photographs, foreigners from various countries including Portugal, the United States, Ireland, the UK, Egypt, Latvia, India, South Africa, Romania, Fiji, and Germany expressed heartfelt messages of gratitude towards Vietnam’s frontline heroes fighting against the relentless battle with COVID-19.

Thank you for your bravery, self-sacrifice, and kindness. Saying ‘thank you’ is not sufficient. Viet Nam co len! These were the heartfelt words shared by 29-year-old Daina from Latvia. Her message included a Vietnamese phrase that means ‘Keep trying, Vietnam!’

“Expressing sincere gratitude and appreciation, I extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated Vietnamese medical professionals, military personnel, grocery store clerks, transportation drivers, and government workers. Your outstanding efforts and contributions are truly commendable. Together, let us stay strong and united. Viet Nam co len.” – Connor, 27, from the United States.

According to official reports, Vietnam has confirmed a total of 267 cases of coronavirus infections, with 47 of these cases involving individuals from other countries.

As of Wednesday morning, a total of 169 patients have successfully recovered and have been discharged from the hospital.

There have been no reported deaths related to COVID-19 in the country.
