The upcoming exhibition, “Famous Detective Conan: A 30-Year Retrospective,” will be a treat for fans of the beloved manga series. Hosted at the Kim Dong Publishing House headquarters, the exhibition space will be artfully divided to showcase the rich history and complex narrative of “Detective Conan.”
One of the highlights is the “Conan’s Words” room, where visitors can delve into the minds of the characters through their thought-provoking quotations. This offers a unique perspective on the beliefs and motivations that drive the story forward.
Conan’s love life and the various shades of his romantic encounters will be explored in the “Love Room,” adding a layer of depth to the character. Meanwhile, the “Mystery Room” promises to be a thrilling experience, delving into the codes and suicide notes that have appeared in the series. Here, fans can also uncover the intricate web of connections with the enigmatic “Black Organization.”
The exhibition doesn’t hold back on showcasing the relationships, motivations, and unwavering beliefs of the diverse cast. It also dedicates space to Conan’s rival, the enigmatic Kaito Kid, exploring their dynamic through the themes of justice and magic.
A trip down memory lane awaits in the “Memory Room,” where films celebrating 30 years of “Famous Detective Conan” will be screened. Additionally, a special gallery honoring the series’ creator, Gosho Aoyama, will display early design documents, offering a rare glimpse into the manga’s developmental stages.
Previously, this exhibition captivated audiences in Ho Chi Minh City from June 29 to August 31. Vietnam is the first country outside of Japan to host this commemorative event, with future plans to tour the Republic of Korea, China, and Thailand.
